Matt Eason and Kyle Tambornini are both passionate about the game of rugby and coaching young people in the sport. The firm gives back financially to the Land Park Rugby Club and the Carmichael Rugby Club.
Matt Eason’s rugby career began at California State University, Sacramento, and continued at the McGeorge School of Law. He briefly played for the Sacramento Men’s Rugby Football Club before he decided to start officiating. Matt was one of the founding coaches of the Land Park Rugby Club and has successfully helped create one of California’s most respected youth programs. This organization focuses on training middle and elementary school boys and girls in rugby and teaches them the importance of having fun and respecting the game. In addition to his commitment to the Land Park Rugby Club, Matt coaches USA’s elite referees and has been a judicial officer for the Olympic Qualifiers.
Kyle Tambornini holds a similar set of credentials. He and Matt played rugby together at McGeorge School of Law. Kyle started and currently runs the Carmichael Hawks Rugby Club (http://carmichaelrugby.com) and coaches the team. Although Matt and Kyle seamlessly work together at their law firm, their rugby clubs are arch-rivals. They love a good competition!
