Justin Drake, Attorney
Justin Drake (he/him) is a certified expert in Workers’ Compensation Law. Justin started his workers’ compensation practice with a statewide workers’ compensation firm representing public service employees. In this role, Justin had one of his most rewarding accomplishments helping to secure a $2,100,000 settlement for a young man who suffered a severe brain injury.
For several years he practiced workers’ compensation defense with well-known statewide firms. After seeing first-hand how insurance companies treated injured workers, Justin decided to switch sides and return to his roots.
Justin is now focused on positively impacting the lives of those who have been injured and endured traumatic events. He uses extensive knowledge and background in workers’ compensation defense tactics to help his clients obtain all the compensation they are entitled to.
As a student-athlete at the University of Michigan, Justin developed a strong work ethic. He maintained high grades while excelling in the pool. He was a four-year letter winner for the University of Michigan Swimming and Diving Team, which won two Big Ten team championships. Justin also earned three NCAA Honorable-Mention All-American individual awards. He then turned his focus to the law and is a proud graduate of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. As a student in law school, he had internships working for the Sacramento County Public Defender and the McGeorge Landlord-Tennant clinic. Justin was also a Judicial Extern for the Hon. Judge Paul Katz in Maricopa County Superior Court, Arizona. Justin is based in Sacramento, working with Eason and Tambornini, A Law Corporation, where he handles cases from Sacramento, the Greater Central Valley, and the Bay Area.
Personal Life
Justin was raised in Arizona but is now happy to call Sacramento home. It is where he met his wife; together, they have two children (7 and 9 years old) and two dogs. Justin enjoys spending time with his family, walking his dogs on the American River, and cycling all over Northern California.
Justin is passionate about building community and, in 2018, had the pleasure to be a member of the Yes on J Committee, which campaigned to pass a $29.5 million GO Bond. The bond passed, with 68.9% of the community voting to approve. The bond helps fund major Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District projects. Justin stayed involved and sat on the Bond Oversight Committee.
